RAE Computing successfully led a huge data centre project on behalf of Orsis UK, who manufacture and supply smart meters which measure and monitor energy use in UK homes and businesses.

Orsis is part of the £1bn Revenco corporation based in China.

Information Technology is at the heart of the smart metering process and therefore the data centre project was of critical importance to the Harrogate-based company.

RAE Computing were asked to specify, plan and install hardware at a specialist data centre in the North West which acts as a ‘private cloud’ for the business.

Detailed consultations with UK and China-based staff throughout the 6-month project resulted in a successful installation delivered on time.
